Fall 2024 Seasonal Order Selector

Full Time • West Monroe
This position is  full time with potential to go from Seasonal to Permanent.
 
Shift Schedules: 
1st Shift:                7:00am – 5:30pm             Monday thru Friday (Saturdays as needed) Beginning September 15, 2024-December 15, 2024.


 Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. 
  • Ensure the work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or actions immediately.
  • Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
  • Read work orders or follow oral instructions to ensure materials or containers to be selected for customer orders.
  • Manually fill and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently by pulling them from pick slots and racks as required.
  • Use RF scanning equipment.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases and other containers.
  • Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and wraps bundles together.
  • Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or Lead at any time.
 Skills
 
  • Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized, and positive warehouse environment.
  • Able to comprehend oral and written communication skills to effectively read labels, tickets, and other product documentation.
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, carry, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the warehouse in various temperatures.
  • Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e., cooler, freezer and dry.
  • Able to accurately use basic math skills.
  • Attention to detail and good time management skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years or older.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to be timely.
  • Must pass post offer drug test and criminal background check. 
  • Previous experience as an Order Selector or Warehouse Worker is a plus.

Education/Experience
 
HS Diploma or GED


Benefits

Seasonal employees are not eligible for company benefits or company bonuses. Opportunities may be available to seasonal workers to become full-time employees. Full-time employees are eligible for company benefits and bonuses after a 90 day probationary period.

Work Environment

The work environment can range from extremely cold (zero degrees) upwards of eighty-ninety degrees in the warehouse, although the main warehouse is climate controlled. The work environment is typically noisy with regular amounts of machine noises including but not limited to typical sounds from forklifts, freight trucks, high lifts, and other manufacturing-related machinery. The smell of related chemicals and lubricants may occur.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is regularly required to be able to bend, stand, reach, or lift. The employee is required to be able to lift items on a regular basis, up to 50 pounds.

Work Authorization

If hired, all employees are required to submit proof of eligibility to work in the United States within 72 hours of their start date.

Compensation: $13.00 - $13.00 per hour
